Anthony LaPaglia talks raising his daughter Bridget
Australian actor, Anthony LaPaglia, (Without a Trace) talked to Woman's Day last week about raising his daughter, Bridget, 4, with wife, Gia Carides (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). Here are the kid and parent related highlights;
His love for his daughter is different to that which he has for his wife. Anthony expains;
Having a child is an entirely different experience. I mean, I always say this as a gag, but it's kind of true that when I walk in the door my daughter is the only person in the world who is genuinely thrilled to see me. Gia's happy to see me but it's not that genuine, unbridled kind of enthusiasm that I'm home. We've talked about the fact, that despite us being together for 14 years, we still love each other tremendously, but it doesn't even come close - and we don't say that is a disparaging way - to what we individually feel for our daughter. It touches a whole other part of your heart that you didn't even know you had.
Does he feel more responsible, now that he is a parent?
There's a sense of responsibility towards a child, especially when they’re a baby, because everything that you put out there goes into their little heads and hearts, so I have a tremendous sense of responsibility.

LaPaglia kicks off a new role with Rams
Football-Mad Anthony LaPaglia has brought a touch of Hollywood to the Byron Bay Rams, but he's had no star treatment from his teammates.
LaPaglia - living in the area while his actress wife Gia Carides films the ABC series East Of Everything - turned up on Monday and Thursday to train with the Rams, who play bush teams in the Far North Coast Premier League.
"The players wanted to see how good he was so they tried him out," coach Peter Ware said. "He stood up to them and trained his heart out and earned their respect and a round of applause."
LaPaglia played for Adelaide and West Adelaide in the early days of the former National Soccer League before opting for a career in acting. He is the part-owner of A-League team Sydney FC and plays for Hollywood United when working in the US.
LaPaglia will perform goalkeeping duties for the Rams' reserve grade.
"No one is star struck and we just treat him as a normal person," Ware said. "He gets down and dirty, fits in really well and he doesn't have a superstar image at all."

Hollywood stars Russell Crowe and Anthony LaPaglia are setting their sights on building a Sydney sports stadium to house their soccer and rugby sides.
Without A Trace star LaPaglia is a director and shareholder in soccer team Sydney FC while Crowe is co-owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the National Rugby League.
The pair plan on building a 25,000-seat venue but negotiations over the last four months have yet to produce anything definite.
LaPaglia says, "He (Crowe) wants a stadium, I want a stadium and we think together there is a possibility we might be able to pull it off.
"I would say if we could get the right people in the room at the same time, it is something that could happen in two to three years."
